When i was six years old, I went on a trip to India with my mum and one of the highlights of the trip was walking up to a temple which was situated on top of a mountain. It was a long walk and I began to get tired very easily. According to my mum, I was so tired at one point of time that i refused to move and then a priest came along and he told me a story which apparently inspired me and i started to walk after that until i reached the temple. I guess stories does have an effect on me
You guys would have probably guessed it right. I love stories and I'm a sucker for good stories. My face will light up when someone tells me a story because the story is probably original and it will be interesting. Who doesn't? Friends have felt that i can offer a listening ear whenever they talk to me. They feel that i can listen intently to their stories. That's true because their stories are simply engaging and it also makes my brain work a bit to crack a solution for their problems.
Here in NTU, there are many storytellers whom have enchanted and mesmerised me with their sensational, thought-provoking and even funny stories. The 1st storyteller that i would like to pay tribute to is my 'study' buddy. I could never get bored with my study buddy's stories as her endless stories about America(she stayed there for some time) and funny takes on people are just simply engaging and irresistable. She could just go on and on about a subject without boring me(mark of a good story-teller). We sometimes end up talking instead of studying. Perhaps, the title 'Chit Chat' buddy would be more appropiate.
The second person would be Senthil, another of my Hall mate and my camp mate. He could simply go on and on about a story without losing enthusiasm and his enthusiasm is simply contagious. His description is very vivid. He can joke about almost everything under the sun and his poor roomie would sometimes be the target of his jokes. You can just laugh your head off when Senthil and his roomie starts to squabble over minor issues. Another guy with a bottemless pit for stories!!
Lastly, the third story-teller that i would like t0 mention would be Chrystella. She deserves a mention. How could she not? She has just too much passion and enthusiam when she tells stories. I feel that she's a bit dramatic(Perhaps The Lit background do make a person seem dramatic) but i guess that's what makes her stories very engaging She can be so passionate about the topic that she would start moving her hands, head and eyes to get into the character role. She can be so comical to watch that i never fail to get entertained and she has an abundance of stories to tell. I love hanging out with her as she's too fun and has just too many stories up her sleeves.
Lastly, I love people with a good sense of humour and an endless pit of stories to entertain me all day long. Do feel free to tell me your story as i won't be bored by you and you can definitely expect a listening ear to your problems!!
